this year's Christmas Day was quite unusual as compared to the past years...
this year i went overseas....

JAPAN!!!

anyway...it's just a 2 day 1 night trip there...
going overseas for the sake of going overseas...
how meaningful is that huh!
so anyway...
on 25 December 2008....
i woke up at like..what!
545 in the morning okay!
cos we gotta leave by 7...
i woke up early so that no one can fight over the toilet with me...hahahaha....
BUT!!
i was just too tired that morning...cos slept late the previous night...
all thanks to the late packing(last minute indeed).....and waiting for "some people" to reply my sms...
tsk!
so my faithful alarm clock rang at 545!!
and i automatically pressed it la...so i don't wake others up..
den i fell asleep...
den it rang again...after 5 mins....
and i slept again...
hahaha...
so i think i finally woke up at like almost 6...
and the worst thing is that i just heard someone closed the door of the toilet!
oh man!!
dang!
and this person is my MUM!! wth.
hahaha....
so after that..i rushed through changing up and preparing all the stuff..
and managed to grab a bite for breakfast and we are off!
so this time, at the ferry terminal...there weren't as many people as compared to the last time we went there..
much much fewer ppl this time.
and i realized we just went there this march!
omg!!

cos the food usually is not clean and they sometimes fry the crabs that's left over the previous day and sell today de!

but they very mean.
they keep walking pass you carrying the plate right at nose level!
smell really good okay!!
so tempting!!
look at the crab!! big hor!!
and there's other ppl who sell their hand made thing there also.
next stop to the shops that sell those local products...
but that shop is for the adults one...cos all the stuff are those abalone la...seahorse la...etc...
we youth..."attacked" the shop next to it..
it's like a provision shop..
sells stationery and food and necessities.
and it's very cheap!!
the stationery are like less than one sing dollar.
omg!!
and other stuff are like a few bucks only!!
so much cheaper than singapore lo!
den it's lunch!
went to the same restaurant.
you know what..the restaurant seem very familiar to my dad cos he said he think we went there once when we were young.
when he mention it..it really seems like it..
have this faint image of eating and singing there when i was like..what..er...5 or 6 years old i think.

where the guy peel the coconut husk with his teeth....
and he ate burning charcoal!!

this Christmas Eve was the lowest day of my life....
okay right...
i think i should finish my story here...
i remembered that day was christmas eve... and i had a interview in the morning.
the interview was at SPH...
and in the morning...it started pouring...
( hmm.... bad omen?
)
eh...i reached the place earlier than expected cos my dad sent me there.
so i went up and waited.
then the person called me in for interview la....after waiting like 20 plus so mins..
the interview was okay...
but it's a bit awkward.
cos the person already told me whatever i need to know.
so as usual the person asked if i have any qns la..
obviously i have no qns...so i just answered like eh..not at the moment.
then you know what..
the person said like can you try to ask me something.
wth...
cracking my brain hard to think of something.
so i asked about the pay...and some other stuff.
and her reply was like...
oh! this you have to ask your agent...
oh..that you have to ask your agent!
nice!!
so why you want me to ask you stuff when i have to find all the stuff from my agent leh?!
huh!!
anyway...
finally the interview was over...
and it's still pouring outside..
and i called my dad...he said he just reached his office only...
and he gotta rushed to deliver some stuff to his customers since it's christmas eve...everyone's half day work!
so i gotta go home myself
so i went out...carrying a small umbrella
but then i'm still wet...
so i wanted to get to the bus stop but there's road barrier at the side. so i gotta wait for the oncoming traffic to pass before i can step on the road to get to the bus stop.

so i decided to take taxi to the nearest mrt station.
and this taxi driver dropped me off at some place with no shelter!! omg!!

my phone rang..
and it was jane!
my agent.

she said i passed the interview!

so the agent(JANE rmb her name!!) said i have to go down to her office that by before 12 to sign the contract!

cos the pay they said was 6 per hr but i'm not sire whether they included their commission already not.
so i called JANE again to ask her about the pay.
and she so innocently told me that "oh..no no no.... we don't take any commission from you all. we take nothing from you. whatever your pay is is all yours. WE DON'T TAKE ANYTHING!"
(HAHAHA...YA!! LIKE REAL!! YOU DON'T TAKE ANYTHING FROM US HUH!! you know what. i went to another interview the person is very nice..and he told me that actually their company gave us quite high pay one..BUT!! because the agent took their commission so our pay like very little now. like for example in this case, actually the pay was like $7 per hr but then after minus-ing their commission, we're left with $6/hour. so like these agencies conned our money. you now why. cos some they would be "quite" honest to tell you that they get their commission from the employers only!! so the employers pay them! but actually! come to think of it. the employers may be paying them some commission. but on the other hand. they took commission from us also. cos our $6/hr become $7/hour! and if you are more alert like me..hahahaha.... the agents are actually ripping off our labour. cos for every hour we work they take a dollar from us!! A DOLLAR!! it's a lot if you do out the math. one day you work 10 hours--including your lunch---for that day the agent get 10 dollars for nothing...you are the one doing the work and they are actually getting money out of your hard work! omg!!
that is so unfair!! and they in turn get $200 bucks a month from your hard work!! omg!!)
anyway...cut long story short.
in between i'm calling my dad and the agent...asking her the qns my dad asked me to ask her...
so..
after don't know how many calls...
i found out that i have to sign this 6 months contract!
and i can only quit the job if i have valid reasons...indeed it's actually reason.
cos there's only one reason that they will allow you to quit.
that is medical or health problem ONLY!!
so i told the person if i signed the contract and then i realized that the job doesn't suit me and i cannot handle the job how?
her reply was really indirect and not answering my qns at all.
she said eh..don't worry. so far we had never received any complain from the ppl we sent there to work. so don't worry.
but ahem! my qns is if i really cannot work can i quit or not...
by not answering my qns..

which means once i signed this stupid contract there is no turning back for me! so i die die also must be stucked there fro 6 months!! omg!!
